Flowing from a great yowyow event a few days back, an enthusiastic group discussed the benefits of community organization from different perspectives. I promised to list a few links here at Canning's Guess. I spoke about the Centretown Citizens Community Association but there are thousands of community groups that are looking for volunteers. With so many community-based groups around Ottawa, it can be difficult to pick one but I think a good starting point – a practical starting point – is with your community association.
